Dozens of electric yellow school buses are scheduled to roll on city streets as early as next fall, officials announced Tuesday. The city is using an $18.5 million grant from the Environmental Protection Agency with funds from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill to purchase 51 electric school buses. It’s part of an effort to meet the city’s and the state’s shared goal of converting all New York’s school buses to run on electricity by 2035.

Dezeen Showroom: Swedish furniture brand Blå Station has relaunched Sting, a stackable chair that was originally created by designers Stefan Borselius and Fredrik Mattson in 2003. For its reproduction, Blå Station kept Sting 's original graphic shape but made the chair from recycled materials. The Sting chair is made from stainless steel and aluminium.

Rough masonry meets painstakingly laid mosaic tiles at this cafe and wine bar in Montreal’s Hochelaga-Maisonneuve. Local studio Ménard Dworkind designed Supernat’s interiors, which mix rough-and-ready details with beautiful examples of lighting and furniture design. Exposed bricks and unfinished plasterwork have been left well alone and, together with the cafe’s steel girders, lend the space an industrial atmosphere.

Dezeen Showroom: Dutch architecture studio MVRDV has released the High Profile lighting collection, which is made from aluminium profile offcuts discarded from the manufacture of Delta Light 's products. The aluminium profiles are typically used by architectural lighting brand Delta Light to recess lights in walls or ceilings.
