ArchOutLoud's annual Home Competition invites architects and designers to showcases an array of design proposals that "explore ideas of domestic architecture fo the future." Each year participants are asked to "consider the impacts of global population shifts, proximity of major cities to coastlines, new materials and building techniques, as well as the rise of co-housing, tiny homes, smart houses, and marketplaces like Airbnb."
This year's winners were selected by an established jury of practitioners and academics such as Ivan Bernal, Fernanda Canales, Eva Maria Castro, Michael Chen, We Jones, Jimenez Lai, Debora Mesa, Gretchen Neely, Tran Thi Ngu Ngon, Carla Swickerath, Twitee Vajrabhaya Teparkum, and Michale Young.
