Malibu beach shack by Marmol Radziner asks for $3.9m

The surf pad has a rustic shell and minimalist interiors

Occupying a secluded seaside spot in Paradise Cove, this glazed cabin by Marmol Radziner is the essence of Malibu beach life.

The two-bedroom surf shack occupies a hilltop site overlooking the nearby private beach. Its exterior embraces a rustic aesthetic – think wood fencing and panelling – but the home’s interiors are surprisingly minimal, with steel beams, white walls and a muted colour scheme. Grey sofas, wooden dining furniture and a long media unit, all designed by James Perse, are included in the sale.

If the cabin’s abundance of floor-to-ceiling windows and skylights isn’t enough of a connection to the outdoors, there’s a wraparound terrace and a garden with a firepit. The outdoor shower stands ready for post-beach recovery.

A separate room at the back of the property functions as a second bedroom, a WFH space, or a yoga studio. Compass is listing the Malibu property for $3.995m.
