UK developments must now compensate for loss of nature

Legal requirements for housing and infrastructure schemes in England to deliver at least a 10 per cent improvement for nature have been extended to cover small developments from today, applying to developments where the number of dwellings is between one and nine or where the site area is less than 0.5

Plans for London’s Sphere are no more as developers abandon project

UK government to force developers to meet £4 billion cladding costs

Homebuilders in England have been told by the government that they must agree to fund the replacement of unsafe cladding on mid-rise blocks in the wake of the Grenfell Tower fire. Many thousands of leaseholders in blocks shorter than 18 metres had previously only been promised government help with costs in the form of a loan scheme.
