From the Architect: "This house is the continuation of a series of proposals seeking to improve assisted self-production homes in Mexico. In this location we have a wooded, mountainous environment, which optimizes the possibilities of panoramic views. The area also has a warm, temperate climate with high temperatures in the summer and cold in winter.

"One of the prerogatives throughout all of our assisted self-production exercises is the bioclimatic optimization of homes based on their optimal orientation with openings for sunlight to the south and insulating materials to the north, which allows indoor or outdoor spaces to be occupied according to the different times that generates this climate.

"The program is made up of three blocks. The house has a social area that integrates the living room, dining room, and kitchen. The portico to the south extends into an open platform where children can play or have a recreation and rest area when the weather allows it. The aim is to integrate the interior and exterior space through the glazing of the south façade, which favors sunlight to heat the house in cold times, and maximizes the panoramic views offered by the mountains and the wooded environment."
