Chris Colby Podcast Going Full Circle in Your Career with Architect Chris Colby Podcast

Chris Colby, Architect

Growing up in upstate New York, Chris Colby grew interested in construction and Architecture in two very distinct ways. First, while he watched his father, who worked in construction and HVAC. Second, after his brother got sick and his family had to leave their family home, he realized that the landlord had control over the building. That was when he knew he wanted to learn real estate and Architecture.

After being told in high school that he should not go to Architecture School, Chris got an internship at a local firm and decided he had too much ambition not to pursue his dreams. He went full force into Architecture School. After graduating college, he was offered a full time job at the firm he was working at for much less compensation than he was expecting. This let down propelled Chris to reach out and find other opportunities which eventually led to him starting his own firm.

In today’s episode, Chris also talks about how he survived the market crash in 2008-2010 and found his passion for doing K-12 Schools.

On top of his work in the school system, Chris talks about his side hustles, which include his podcast, courses and webinars. This led him to create the AntidoteOne platform to coach and mentor people in all phases of their career
