Luxembourg, a hidden gem in the heart of Europe, boasts a captivating blend of old-world charm (especially castles) and a surprising amount of contemporary architecture. This enchanting country, with its picturesque villages, historic fortifications, and recently built architectural marvels, offers a delightful journey for architects, so make sure to give it a try.
Earlier this year, my friend Philipp and I visited Luxembourg with Visit Luxembourg and we could discover some of the gems included in the map. Anything interesting in terms of architecture is here. If you find any mistakes, or have any suggestions please let me know in the comments. My intention is to keep it useful. I hope you enjoy!

You’re right, Luxembourg is a meeting of eras, of cultures, of views through time… I confess that the oldest architecture attracts me for everything, and there is a feeling of belonging to the place when you walk around and choose a café to feel the life to spend. Nice post, Virginia. My hug.🌞

Couldn’t agree more! The oldest architecture is fascinating in this country, from the now abandoned castles to its religious buildings. Have you visited Luxembourg recently?

Hi, Virginia. I haven’t traveled for many years due to cancer – luckily going into remission – and when I was in Europe I made choices like Holland, Czech Republic, Italy, England…, leaving other countries and places for later but the disease still stops me . later, who knows. I really like your posts for that reason: they make me travel. thank you so much.
