The Créateurs Design Awards has named multidisciplinary Italian architect and designer Gaetano Pesce as the 2023 recipient of the Andrée Putman Lifetime Achievement Award.
Pesce will be honored at the upcoming Awards ceremony scheduled to take place in Paris in January. The annual program recognizes extraordinary work in architecture, interior design, product design, photography, journalism, and curation.
Pesce has formed a career spanning sixty years with works across the fields of architecture, urban planning, interior design, exhibitions, and industrial design. He is renowned for his ability to experiment with color, new materials, and shapes.
"I have a very clear idea about me, which is that I don’t know myself. Because I change. Tomorrow I can be different. This is my personality. Fortunately, because I hate to always be the same," Gaetano Pesce said in response to winning the award. "Thank you very
much for recognizing that I exist with my work, and thank you very much for recognizing that my work has
relevance in the field of culture."
In addition to this announcement, submissions to the latest edition of the Créateurs Design Awards are now being accepted. The deadline is November 25, 2023.
