An Armless Office Chair on Amazon That Still Offers Ergonomic Support

Cross-legged sitters really love it.

Who really needs arms on a chair? People who routinely slouch to the side during a too-long Zoom meeting that could’ve been an email. Anyone who likes the feeling of containment during the workday, maybe. Arms are useful. Without them, how else are you supposed to sit at your desk, lean on an elbow, and cradle your face in one hand to convey professionally acceptable displays of boredom or inattentiveness? Arms are a nice perk but let’s not pretend that adjusting them on most office chairs is a battle won by few, plus these extensions tend to prevent you from pushing your chair completely beneath a desk. Some would consider these inconveniences small prices to pay for comfort, but we stumbled across an $89, highly rated armless office chair on Amazon that has a reputation for being just as comfortable and accommodating. Despite the absence of arms, it’s supposedly designed to provide ergonomic benefits all while making it easier to decorate.

Stylish Desk Chair No Wheels: An elegant blend of comfort and style, the elimination of armrests and castors removes all unnecessary decoration, effortlessly matching any décor to create an impression of comfort and elegance, the unique black lacquered cross aluminum base with non-slip natural...

The first notable design detail is the chair’s widened, U-shaped seat back. Of the 1100+ people who own and reviewed this chair, a notable number pointed out how easy it is to assemble (15 minutes, tops!) and sit cross-legged in the seat, which speaks to its generous size and comfort level. Something else the chair is missing? Casters. But the manufacturers added non-slip natural rubber feet to prevent slipping and scratching. Apparently, excluding these minor details adds to the chair’s stylishness and keeps it from giving off a sterile office feel. But not to worry: there is a lever that gives the seat a 5-inch adjustable height plus it swivels in 360 degrees and tilts between 108-130 degrees (who doesn’t love a good tilt?) Additionally, it comes in six soothing shades, including pink, yellow, grey, beige, and light blue (sadly, the mint green is sold out at the moment!). So, go forth and seek your particular type of seated comfort, regardless of what that looks like. Maybe this chair is the answer.
