The multi-billion dollar project for Mori Building Co. Late SCI-Arc founding director Ray Kappe ’s final residential design has hit the market in Venice Beach, California, for a listed price of $4.2 million. The 2,482-square-foot home has three bedrooms and was originally built in 1947. Kappe began the commission in 2019 (the same year he passed away ), designing for the owner a two-story addition that added a garage and small recreation room to the property at 938 Amoroso Place.

Charles Munger, the billionaire investor whose proposed design for a monolithic, partly windowless dormitory at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) was the subject of a public controversy that drew critical ire and the eyes of outside media, passed away yesterday at his home in California. He was 99. Known widely as Berkshire Hathaway founder Warren Buffet’s “right-hand man,” Munger was himself a lauded financier with a reported net worth of around $2.6 billion.

LOFT49, located on the banks of the Grand Canal in Hangzhou, traces its origins back to the Hangzhou Chemical Fiber Factory founded in 1958, which evolved into the Peacock Nylon Factory in the 1980s. In 2003, the abandoned factory buildings attracted a large number of artists who spontaneously gathered, giving birth to Hangzhou's first iconic creative park, LOFT49.

Danish architecture studio BIG has unveiled the design for a luxury residential building with cascading terraces named Park Rise, which will form part of the Ellinikon city masterplan near Athens.
