Art and science come together as a comprehensive whole in EskewDumezRipple's new Bruce Museum expansion

The Bruce Museum in Greenwich, Connecticut, has shared photos of its recent expansion project that was completed by EskewDumezRipple in April of 2023 at a cost of $67 million. Drawing inspiration from coastal New England granite quarries, the project added a total of 42,000 square feet via the new William L. Richter Art Wing. The expansion was undertaken to allow the museum’s art and science holdings to expand and be better interpreted as a coherent whole.

Dodge Momentum Index drops slightly for February, hampered by weak commercial planning

The latest Dodge Momentum Index (DMI) information for February has shown a slight decrease in economic activity, dropping 1.4% to a new score of 180.5 from January’s revised total of 183.0. Over the month, commercial planning fell 2.3% while institutional planning ticked up 0.1%. The drop in the commercial sector was caused primarily by a lag in new office planning.

Stirling Prize-winning council homes set for Right to Buy selloff

Notre-Dame's rebuilt spire revealed as scaffolding removed

The reconstructed spire of Notre-Dame cathedral has been revealed in Paris , with a design identical to the 1859 version designed by architect Eugène Viollet-le-Duc. Scaffolding has been removed from around the 96-metre-tall spire, which is among the elements of the landmark to be reconstructed following the devastating fire in 2019. Scaffolding has been removed from the rebuilt spire at Notre-Dame cathedral.
