The building is part of a larger masterplan for the so-called Espoon Keskus, one of five major urban centres in Espoo, creating a diverse neighbourhood with new residential buildings, commercial facilities, public transportation, and green urban spaces. Construction for Espoo House will begin in early 2026 and is expected to open in 2029.

The exemplary hospital building with around 360 beds should be completed in Albbruck by 2029 – as the centerpiece of the health park of the same name that is being realized simultaneously as a separate project.
