As well as enabling the client’s family to remain in their community, the upgrade has radically improved the house’s carbon footprint and enhanced its local conservation area setting. Having previously lived in a draughty and energy-hungry house, the client wanted a low-energy, highly sustainable solution for their new home.

After an international competition Henning Larsen has been named the designer of NEOMA’s new French Business School, in Reims, France.

Amsterdam will halve the use of primary raw materials by 2030 and become fully circular by 2050 – according to the Circular Strategy 2020-2025 proposed by the municipality. The biobased walls – made with carbon absorbing raw materials – are lighter and require less energy for transportation.
