Lesley Lokko and Marina Tabassum named among TIME 100 Most Influential People of 2024

Whiting and filmmaker/screenwriter Ava Marie DuVernay accompany Tabassum and Lokko, who join a list of other architects selected as TIME 100 honorees that includes SCAPE founder Kate Orff (2023), Kengo Kuma (2021), Jeanne Gang (2019, Bjarke Ingels (2016), and Wang Shu (2013). The 4,000-square-foot design from 2013 had been previously owned by Richard Sachs. The new price is substantially lower than both the original $53 million listing and the $75 million price tag it carried in 2020 before he paid $57.3 million to purchase the home in September of 2021.

Set to become the world’s tallest skyscraper and beat the UAE’s Burj Khalifa, the tower was designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture and initially began construction in 2013. I nterestingly, the Burj Khalifa was also designed by Adrian Smith while at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill.

Pierre Koenig’s Stahl House (Case Study #22) lists for $4.99 million in Los Angeles

The restored 3,000-square-foot design that was the subject of a famous Julius Shulman photograph and starred in many films and TV series was built in 1959 and later added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.
